Rare and Super-rare Birds

Above: wheatear. Below, meadow pipit.

Male ring ouzel!  Super-rare round here. There was a female too, but I didn't get a photo of her.

Below, a whinchat, a bird I've only seen once before.

Below, water vole burrows in the field off Edgeley Road.

Water vole droppings and feeding.

Little Ringed Plovers making little Little Ringed Plovers. Below, a cormorant in its breeding ruff.

Comma butterfly and a female brambling.

A beautiful back!
