Feeding Signs Special

Sometimes I don't see a water vole for a week or so and I become worried they've all been predated. However, there are signs to look out for that are reassuring. All the photos above are examples of water vole feeding, and the photo below shows long-term water vole 'landscaping', and this is a good place to look for droppings.

Please please please keep your cats indoors from dusk till dawn, and fit them with a flashing collar light. This not only cuts down kills but is MUCH safer for the cat too. You don't want your cat run over on the road during the night, do you? We lost two cats that way, and it was very upsetting; I wish we'd done things differently and kept them safer. You can buy the flashing collar lights here.
