That rippling disturbance by the bank (middle, right) is often the first sign a water vole's about to emerge.

Still waiting to hear from Tesco about the trolleys.

It is beautiful weather, and the voles seem to be thriving inspite of the bare banks.

Still waiting for the May blossom but it looks like it's nearly here. I've seen a Glastonbury Thorn in bloom today, which is a sort of Hawthorne but doesn't really count.

I'm sure it can't be long for Tescos now - mind you it has been a while and I've almost forgotten what they were going to do!

They were 'fairly sure they could push through coin-release trolleys', was what I was told.
