The mouse was there again today, so I'm going to put a length of wood for it to climb out on its own. I'd be so upset if one starved by accident!

These harvest mice are SO gorgeous ! I want some too ! I guess they probably are nesting in your garden - close to their regular food supply. Hope the 'ladder' arrangement works out OK.

There is a very thick leyland hedge just by, so I'm guessing they're tucked inside that.
