The Wrong Place

I think I've been sitting in the wrong spot at Edgeley Road because I haven't seen many water voles this year there. But when I moved a bit further down the stream, two popped up straight away and wandered round my feet before settling on the opposite bank where I could photograph them. There was also a water shrew.

This vole was at Edward German Drive. Although it has lost an eye, it may survive.
