Lovely video, and a bit about two minutes in when you get a good view of the splayed front foot that produces the starry prints.

We have a very similar looking blackbird that visits the garden. I wonder how big an area they cover? Have you seen the Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year photos? They are being exhibited at the Blue Planet Aquarium at the moment. They are amazing! There is a lovely water vole photo you might be interested it. You can view it online. Thought you might like to see it! Sue.

Thanks, Sue, I'll check it out! They have some amazing photos in the BBC Wildlife magazine, too, and also on the Wild About Britain forum.

My guess is it's the same blackbird, because how likely is it there are two with white heads? but they must have bugger territories than I thought. Mind you, I know nowt about blackbirds.

Did you mean to say "bugger" ?!
A Fredulent slip me thinks, that's when you say one thing but mean a mother !
