I can't decide which is lovelier, the open crocuses or the establishing of a proper water vole latrine on the sandbank where I found the droppings. Once latrines are up and running, I know where to site my camera to get the first vole footage of the year.

ReplyDeleteAs much as like spring flowers (especially the snowdrop obsession I seem to be developing), I'd have to say the sight of new water vole poo would always win for me.
ReplyDeleteKnowing they have survived winter always makes me smile.
Personally, I prefer the flowers to the poo. But glad to hear the signs are good. Come visit me, Kate, and we could do a day-trip to Freshwater via ferry and bus.
